BandGigz
Our Story

Making it easier for local musicians to get booked.

BandGigz started with a simple, stubborn problem: talented local musicians can't find enough places to play, and the people who'd hire them have no fast way to connect. Make booking easier, and more gigs — and more income — follow. Here's why we built it.

The idea for BandGigz formed in April of 2026. It came from what I'd been witnessing for years as the admin of a local music community — thirteen years of posts from local musicians sharing their triumphs, their victories, their bad experiences, and their grievances with the local music scene. And the concern I heard more than any other was the pay.

A 4-piece band making $400 total just isn't enough.
Once you count the effort, the time, and the money that goes into performing at a venue or event, the math stops working. I watched talented musicians get paid pennies for their work.

I understand the other side of it, too. A business has to keep its customers happy, and staying open is a big part of that. It's genuinely hard for a lot of venues around here to pay artists more, because the local scene isn't vibrant enough yet for musicians to command higher pay. But I believe that if we make it easier for musicians and the people who hire them to find each other, more of that work starts to happen — here, and in every local scene like ours.

The solution is more opportunities. That's what BandGigz is all about. This platform exists to give musicians a way to earn by performing at unconventional venues — places that want live music but don't have a fast way to find the musicians who can bring it. And it's built for the everyday person, too: the birthday party, the retirement party, the backyard gathering, the corporate event, the BBQ — anyone who wants to hire a musician for their event.

By opening up those opportunities, we help local musicians start earning more from their passion. And that, in turn, makes the local music scene — not just in our city, but in every city — vibrant enough for musicians to keep doing what they do best: making people feel good by playing music.

Our Mission

To make the local music scene better — one city at a time — by making it easier for hardworking, talented local musicians to get booked, so more of them can earn a living doing what they love.

We value our local venues just as much. We want them to profit from the change we're making, because a more vibrant local music scene benefits venues immensely. We want to bring venues professional musicians who value their space and their time — artists who show up when they say they will and make the night a great one for the venue's customers.

If you're thinking about joining us on this journey — do it. This is a chance to change things for musicians, for venues, and for every fan of live music in the local scene. We'll make the world a little better, one local music scene at a time.
